Logging in for the first time

The Four Rivers Software Systems sample database

In order to follow along with the TMS OnLine Quick Tour, you'll need the Four Rivers Software Systems sample database, FRSOFTDB.  We'll reference the FRSOFTDB database and use the sample data it contains throughout the TMS OnLine Quick Tour.

We'll assume that your TMS administrator has provided you with the following information:

• The TMS OnLine Web address for your organization
• TMS server
• TMS database (for the TMS OnLine Quick Tour, use FRSOFTDB)
• Your TMS username
• Your TMS password

If you don't have this information, please contact your TMS administrator.

Segments in the Quick Tour

Segmentation is dividing up a TMS database into pieces.  Segmentation is a way to share common information without having to sort through information that is not common or should not be shared.  For the purposes of the Quick Tour, please use the Facilities Segment except as noted in the text.

When you access TMS OnLine, you are presented with the Login screen where you enter the User Name, Password, Server Name and Database.  Your screen should look similar to the screen below.

1. In the User Name field, type in your TMS username.
2. In the Password field, type in your TMS password.
3. In the Server Name field, type in your TMS server name.
4. In the Database field, type in FRSOFTDB or select it from the list.
5. Click on Login.
