Configure the PartsSource Integration

Go to Setup > Partners > PartsSource Setup to get started.

Parts Source Setup Fields

There are two URL fields here. Both fields are required.

The first field, ePartsFinder URL, is the URL to the ePartsFinderâ„¢ application. The Web Service URL field is for the web service that TMS Control Panel will use to create material issues from PartsSource parts requests.

  1. In the ePartsFinder URL field, enter "https://www.partsfinder.com/".
  2. In the Web Services URL field, enter "https://ws.partsfinder.com/services/standardservices.svc".

Note: The URLs above are set by PartsSource, Inc. If the URLs above do not allow the integration to connect with the PartsSource web server, please contact PartsSource, Inc. directly.

Facility Setup Fields

Here, you must choose to configure the PartsSource integration for the shared, System segment or for non-shared, individual segments. You cannot configure it for both.

If you have an Organization ID, Subscription ID, and Password filled in for the System segment, you will not be able to configure the PartsSource integration for the individual segments. The same is true if you have an Organization ID, Subscription ID, and Password filled in for one or more individual segments, instead of the System segment.

If you have the Organization ID, Subscription ID, and Password fields configured for the System segment and then you select an individual segment from the Segment dropdown, an error dialog will display. To change how PartsSource is configured, you must clear the fields for the System segment and then configure the PartsSource integration for an individual segment.

To configure the Facility Setup field group:

  1. In the Segment dropdown, select either the System segment or an individual segment.
  2. In the Organization ID field, enter your organization's PartsSource organization ID.
  3. In the Subscription ID field, enter your organization's PartsSource subscription ID.
  4. In the Password field, enter the password associated with the PartsSource organization ID in step 2.

Note: The organization ID, subscription ID, and password you need to enter are supplied to you by PartsSource. If you don't have this information, please contact PartsSource, Inc. directly.

Status/Sub-Status Fields

If you want TMS Control Panel to change the Status and Sub Status codes on work orders with PartsSource part requests, once the material issue has been created, you can select the codes with which to update the work orders from the available dropdowns.

Note: The frequency that TMS Control Panel uses to regulate how often it checks for ready PartsSource orders is set on the General tab, in the area marked Check for pending jobs every __ minutes. The specified minutes in this field dictates how often TMS Control Panel checks for ready parts requests from PartsSource from which material issues are created.

When you're done configuring the above areas, click the Save button to save your changes. If the PartsSource Setup and Facility Setup areas were configured correctly, the User Mappings area will become available.

User Mappings

Now, you need to associate, or map, TMS users to valid PartsSource logins. Only users with a valid PartsSource login created on the PartsSource Setup screen are able to access the ePartsFinderâ„¢ application through the PartsSource item in the Tools menu (Tools > Partners > PartsSource) or on the Materials tab on the Work Order Edit screen.

To map users:

  1. Click New.
  2. Select an existing user from the TMS User dropdown.
  3. In the Partner User Name field, enter a valid PartsSource username to associate with this TMS user.
  4. In the Partner Password field, enter the password for the PartsSource username.
  5. Click Save to save this user mapping. Or, click Another to save this mapping and create another.
